The Connection Cure w/ Lisa Daron

In today’s society, so many of us feel isolated. We pass by one another on the sidewalk; stand behind one another in the grocery store– yet we still feel lonely. 

This disconnect is making us sick, literally—over 60 million Americans feel so isolated that their health is damaged in ways that mirror the effects of high blood pressure, smoking and obesity.

Lisa Daron Grossman, founder of The Connection Cure, has made it her life's work to listen, learn, and engage in conversations around connection. Has has set off on a four year cross-country human engagement pilgrimage, exploring face-to-face connection as a catalyst for healing and wellness.

Hosting events in each state, The Connection Cure aims to teach the science and healing benefits of face-to-face connection, help de-stigmatize loneliness, promote reclaiming conversation, and ignite the spirit. 

Just as we need food and water for survival, humans need connection to maintain health and longevity. We need one another to thrive, for our emotional, physical, and spiritual wellbeing.

Kickboxing at 9-Round

9Round is a specialized fitness center for people who want a unique, fun, and proven workout that guarantees results. 9Round offers a kickboxing themed fitness program that incorporates a functional, interval, cardiovascular, and circuit training regimens. The programs consist of a proprietary system of nine challenging workout stations developed by a World Champion Kickboxer.

Here’s What You Can Expect:

  • Show up at your convenience; there are no class times
  • You’re welcomed by a friendly, qualified trainer
  • Trainer wraps your hands for support when punching
  • Use heart rate training to stay in your target fat burning zone
  • Trainer shows you how to do each exercise based on your fitness level
  • Every three minutes, you move to the next exercise station
  • After station nine, your 30-minute full-body workout is over
  • Access 9Round Nutritional Guidance & one-on-one support
  • Enjoy a new workout every day (workouts change daily)

Master Yoga Class w/ Christian Florez

Christian grew up in Orange County, California and moved to L.A. to pursue his dreams of teaching yoga and becoming a professional photographer. He is a student of all movement, with an emphasis on his love for Yoga. He has studied under prominent teachers, such as Briohny Smyth, Dice Lida-Klein and Dylan Werner. He completed his 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Create Yoga in Santa Monica. Christian quickly made a name for himself in the L.A. area teaching inversions and arm balances. He teaches from a place of understanding, culture and tradition while acknowledging the importance of evolution and adaptability. His sequences are traditional yet unorthodox. His classes are challenging, guiding each student to advance within their own practice, mentally, physically, and spiritually.

We'll be practicing with Christian at The Rialto, followed by some snacks provided by Sola Cafe, and then you're encouraged to stay for Elaine Huang's Meditation workshop following!
